Transforming Properties into Resilient Oasis, Magic Beans Landscaping

Magic Beans Landscaping, a trailblazer in the Boulder, Colorado metro area, has been revolutionizing the landscape industry by embracing regenerative and sustainable practices. Ultimately transforming Properties into Resilient Oasis. By adopting holistic and eco-friendly approaches, they have carved out a unique niche in the market, setting themselves apart from traditional landscaping companies.

Embracing Regenerative Practices

After the release of the eye-opening documentary "Kiss the Ground," the team at Magic Beans Landscaping gained a deeper understanding of the importance of soil health and the detrimental effects of modern landscaping practices. Determined to make a change, they partnered with PACE (Partners for a Clean Environment) in 2023, securing a $10,000 grant to transition to all-electric landscaping equipment. This move not only reduced their carbon footprint but also set the stage for their commitment to sustainable and regenerative practices.

Prioritizing Eco-Friendly Solutions

Magic Beans Landscaping has implemented a strict no-chemical policy, recognizing the harm that chemicals like glyphosate can have on the environment, pets, and children. Instead, they have embraced natural alternatives such as kelp, fish bone and blood, and compost teas to nourish the soil and promote healthy plant growth. In addition to adding nutrients to the soil, Magic Beans landscaping prefers to pull the weeds by hand, ensuring to get the root for weed management.

Megan Banich: A Visionary Leader

Megan Banich, the owner of Magic Beans Landscaping, has been at the forefront of this transformation. In 2020, she completed the Landscape Designer Certification course at the New York School of Art and Design, further expanding her expertise. Since then, she has actively participated in the Kiss the Ground community, taking all of their courses and currently enrolled in the Queens Council School of Art and Design for International Landscape Design.

Regenerative Landscaping: A New Frontier

Megan's extensive knowledge in landscape design, combined with her commitment to sustainable and regenerative practices, has enabled her to create a new subcategory in the landscaping industry. Regenerative landscaping differs from sustainable landscaping in its ability to increase biodiversity, enhance the soil microbiome, and improve the overall aesthetic of the landscape over time. While sustainable landscaping aims to maintain the current state of the landscape, regenerative landscaping seeks to restore and revitalize the land, bringing it closer to its natural, thriving state.

Transforming Properties into Resilient Oasis

Through their innovative approach, Magic Beans Landscaping has been able to transform properties from basic to resilient. By focusing on regenerative practices, they are not only enhancing the beauty of the landscapes they work on but also contributing to the overall health and resilience of the ecosystem. Their commitment to eco-friendly solutions and their visionary leadership have positioned them as a beacon of hope in the landscaping industry, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps and create a more sustainable future for our planet.
